A video of two Israeli border policeman being attacked/stabbed yesterday in Jerusalem. Whilst not directly CP related, it does highlight the panicked reaction even from well trained and armed professionals. My initial thoughts are a) being armed doesnt replace the need to know some level of unarmed combat (although initial stab unavoidable), b) you can still fight even if stabbed in the neck, c) second target demonstrated how a bag can save your life (or any object placed between you and the attacker), d) not sure a stick should have been preferred choice of weapon over pistol !!!!! e) the second officer has immense trouble drawing his pistol. whether stupid or brave continues to move towards his attacker without having successfully drawn and then is caught up in a wrestle with a crazed knife wielding attacker , f) dont expect the public to help if you are uniforms. They will expect you to deal with it (if they do its a bonus)
