A visit to Philadelphia for Mark Meade and I would not be complete without lunch at the Reading Terminal Market for pastrami at Hershels! A short story....while Mark was hospitalized for all those months...the Reading Terminal Market was my escape. A quick 4-5 block walk from the hospital I would go there to regain my sanity and would sit alone and eat a pastrami sandwich. Hershel would wrap a small piece of pastrami for me to bring back for Mark to taste....had to be so careful since he was in end-stage congestive heart failure and there was WAY too much sodium in it. I would bring him sugar-free ice cream from Bassetts, sugar-free pie from Beilers, sugar-free chocolate, and various treats from time to time. Sitting there with him today brought me to tears....any of you who have been there will get it!!!
