A volunteer writes: Bibi, owned for six years by her family, was surrendered because of housing issues. She is said to be housetrained and paper trained (she has quite long nails which makes me think that she did not go for long walks..), is very playful and lived in harmony with young children. She was trusted to be loose in the house in her masters absence but also used a yard. She looks healthy and owns a well groomed coat. Her weight is excellent. Bibi, indeed was well cared for. Bibi is no weakling. She has a proud and determined stance. She is mindful of noises and movements around her. She is on her guard. She must wonder what happened to her? She is edgy in her kennel as people and dogs come and go in front of her. She is excited to come out, walks well on the leash and eliminates as soon as we leave the building. A bit aloof at our first encounter, Bibi warmed up at the second. She was even playful, running with me in the yard and playing tag. Bibi sits right away on command and takes my treats. She hops on the bench next to me. She is fine with me hugging her but I know I have to gain her trust and love. No quickies with Bibi...She is the boss and that is ok ...for now as she is having a hard time. At my third time with Bibi, she came when I called her and jumped on my lap. She is not that heavy, thank goodness! We were much closer and I could see Bibi relax with my caresses. She even started to kiss. The glass was broken...Bibi is a girl with character. I think she would be a great companion, playful, loving and faithful given the chance to start her life all over again with a new master or family. Bibi is at the Manhattan Care center, a very special girl, waiting to open her heart and soul to you. SAVE A LIFE— NETWORK/PLEDGE/RESCUE/FOSTER/ADOPT/SHARE SHARE SHARE
