A volunteer writes: I first met my sweet Prince the very night he arrived at the Care Center and such a pitiful sight he was; curled into a ball, quivering with each loud noise or boisterous passerby and generally giving the impression of a very timid, fearful dog. Fast forward two days and what a transformation! Prince greets me at his door, soft, wiggly and so happy to see a friend. Hes eager to get outside and its no wonder as he seems extremely house trained, peeing immediately and taking care of number two not once, not twice, but three times during our walk! He does pull slightly on leash but is so responsive and easy to handle, and believe me you will want to handle him plenty once you feel his unusually thick, soft coat and receive some of the grateful chin kisses hes so generous with! Prince is super snuggly and loves to cuddle but has an independent side too and takes his time exploring the yard, greeting other dogs with soft tail wags and chasing the ball only as much as it interests him before returning to the all important business of socializing. When I offer treats he prefers to beg rather than sit (so adorable!) but hes never grabby and will gently take each individual snack from my fingers. Im thrilled that my once shy Prince has blossomed into such an open-hearted loverboy
