A volunteer writes: Seriously, impossibly, adorably delicious....meet Ruth! A pocket pittie who never stops smiling, has a sweet, playful and fun personality, and is simply a delight with whom to spend time. Shes prancy, pully on the leash - just a girl out to have a good time (after going potty of course). Her coat is interesting, almost woven, as its two different colors and textures......nothing hum drum about Ruth! She makes great eye contact, poses for pictures like shes been doing nothing else for years, takes treats very gently and then equally gently spits them out! Shes so polite in taking them, like a good houseguest not wanting to refuse something she doesnt care for. So cute. Saying hello to all the kenneled dogs we pass on our way out, its almost like shes reassuring them that they too will go out soon. She joined me on the bench for some hugs and kisses, and can occasionally get a little mouthy in just sheer happiness at making contact. She stops immediately when told, just wagging her tail in acknowledgment. She loves chasing a tossed tennis ball, doing a little skip and hop in pursuit and bringing it back for another throw. She has a terrific energy about her and would love an active home in which lots of play time and exercise are part of the daily routine. When you look at her big smile there is no way not to smile back, and I cant think of a better way to start a day than being greeted with a tail wag and a smile.
