A warning about outdoor backyard dangers... The craziest and frightening thing happened the other day with Jack Frost! My husband and I were outside playing with Bolt and Jack, but soon our attention stayed with Bolt playing ball and learning jumps. Jack was on the other side of the yard doing his thing and playing with some toys. I had that feeling of being watched. I looked up and about 100 feet above us was a hawk stalking Jack! He circled lower and lower until he was about 50 - 60 feet. I think once he realized how big the rest of us were he decided it might not be a good match. But that did not deter him from continuing stalking him. 10 minutes later he returned with a friend and together they flew circles. It was the craziest thing to see! If you have hawks in your area, please never leave your small animals outside alone. They might not have been able to lift him off the ground, but Jack could still have gotten seriously hurt!
