Its called Brand New Start, written by the famous rocker Leon Russell. He came to our studio in 2010 and wrote this lovely song about a child coming to the Ranch and waking to the possibilities of a new life. We had finished mixing the song, but had not published it, waiting on a full album of 10 songs to develop. The night of the fire, it was among the losses I grieved as I stood watching. But it turned out that it was the ONLY song that survived because it had been removed for mastering the Saturday before the fire (story to follow in the newsletter). So guess what? Terra Nova Mastering Studio of Austin, Texas premier mastering lab, took it, mastered it and put it up online. All proceeds of sales come to the Ranch. Can you believe the title? What are the odds?
