A week ago I went to get my hair cut. I saw a friend from high school there who brought up my house burning down. After 30 mins of waiting, the barber called next and as I went to get up a father and his 2 year old son, who were sitting next to me and my friend, got in the chair instead. The barber told the man that I was next but I told him that the young boy could go before me. The man thanked me. After the young boy was finished, I got in the barber chair and the man thanked me again and said Im sorry you had to wait. I said If that was my worst problem I would be a lucky guy. The man laughed and walked out of the barber shop. 2 mins later he returned. He walked up to me, handed me a $20 bill and said Your haircut is on me today buddy, have a Happy New Year. I told him I cannot accept that but he simply walked out before I could even tell him how thankful I was. I was absolutely taken back by the kindness and generosity of this man who was a total stranger to me. That day just proved to me that there really are genuine, good people in this world and that karma does exist. If you put out positive vibes into the universe, eventually it will find its way back to u. It also encouraged me to pay it forward. Even if you dont have much money, u can always make someones day simply by smiling, saying plz and thank you, holding open a door or letting a 2 year old boy go before you at the barber. Today, make someone smile. Be the change that this world so desperately needs and always strive to be the best version of yourself!
