A well presented Chiropractic Receptionist is required for a busy and fast-paced wellness centre in Leigh-on-Sea. You will be a caring people-person, smiley, cheerful, health conscious, and enthusiastic about all things health related. You will have strong previous experience within an administrative/receptionist role, ideally in a private healthcare environment. You must also be willing to learn and understand chiropractic and the clinic procedures. This is a part time position of 21.5 hours per week and you must be available for IMMEDIATE start. Must be able to work between 8.30am-8.00pm Monday to Friday, and be flexible to cover holidays or sickness. Must be non-smoker. Pay is £7.50 per hour. As an assistant to two chiropractors, this highly demanding role will suit an individual that understands their job is to ease the stress of the doctors, patients and staff by ensuring that the centre runs as smoothly as possible. Duties: -Greeting patients in a polite, friendly and professional manner, face-to-face and on the telephone -Using a computer system to book and change patient appointments -Preparing files on a daily basis for each practitioner -Creating professional letters to patients, GPs and other medical professionals -Educating patients about Chiropractic -Liaising with insurance companies in a professional manner -Invoicing insurance companies and maintaining patient accounts and records -Preparing patient documentation and information -Taking and screening phone calls effectively -Stocking exam rooms and be responsible for keeping track of chiropractic supplies -Maintaining centre cleanliness and tidiness -Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with staff -Other ad hoc duties Skills & Requirements: -Excellent customer service skills -Excellent organisational skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Good computer skills for Word and Excel and practice software -A strong background within a receptionist/administrative role -Must be professional, confident, kind and trustworthy -Being calm and polite under pressure, well presented and eloquent is essential -Responsible outlook and ability to use own initiative is essential -Candidates with experience of working in a healthcare environment preferred.
