A while back I posted that I wanted to rework a Lionel OGradys - TopicsExpress

A while back I posted that I wanted to rework a Lionel OGradys Tavern for the purpose of trying to improve its overall appearance and give me a little something different than the stock building to put on the railroad. That work has begun. I started by disassembling the building. After removing the windows and side door I filed out the material that held the them in place so that I could set them back a bit in the opening to create a more realistic appearance. I also added some plastic strip material beneath each window to create a window ledge. On the side wall Ive added a goose-neck light fixture and a vent with a stack that runs up above the roof line. The walls are about ready to be painted. Before painting them though I am going to sand off the moldings along the left side so that my tavern structure with be butt flush up against the wall of the adjacent building. I do have a question for you though. Originally I was thinking I wanted to remove the cornice piece that runs all the way around the building. But now I am having second thoughts. If you have a moment, please tell me what you think. Looking at the two buildings, do you like the cornice piece as seen on the OGradys Tavern or do you think it looks better after having been removed as seen on building to the right? Id appreciate knowing what you think, for as of right now I can go either way with it. Thanks you, Bo
