A while back I saw a mover in which Jodie Foster played an advisor to the mayor of NYC. The movies plot revolved around a European exile who had gotten rich by falsely promising European Jews safety from the Nazis in exchange for their wealth. A one point in the movie Jodie says: Well, I was always told that when there is blood in the streets buy property. (I doubt that they teach this maxim at the Harvard Business School.) Bottom line: IN any disaster, no matter how terrible and Satanic, a lot of people will use the disaster to enrich themselves. So, I guess I should not be surprised that as the world teeters on the edge of a Third World War all sorts of people are trying to exploit this disaster so as to fatten their bank accounts. As the Good Book says: A love of money is the root of all evil.
