A while back, prior to being dismissed, I predicted that this - TopicsExpress

A while back, prior to being dismissed, I predicted that this would happen! Contraband had been smuggled in at the time by being shot over attached to arrows, inside of a dead cat, etc. Due to my other job, I had the opportunity a few times to work on a crew that used aerial drones to film some pretty amazing video footage. These drones are amazing. They can fly for 1000s of yards away from the operator and a talented operator can exercise some very precise control. Im willing to bet that the guys who were smuggling this stuff in has been successful on prior occasions. Im going to attach a link below to the teaser reel to one of the projects that I was allowed to tag along for. My job was to provide still images for the website that belongs to one of the video guys. On a few brief occasions, I can be seen in this video below if you know where to look. These drones are expensive (butt getting cheaper), and there is a definite learning curve to their operation, but once its mastered, they can be flown by an operator miles away. Usually, they have a distinct sound (not really quite, but not loud), and there will possibly be some flashing LEDs (green/red). LEDs can be disabled, but it would be a bit more difficult for the operator to fly the drone. In the comments, there will be a professionally edited teaser reel from a highly respected film company, and a short video that I shot of the actual drone on the shoot where the teaser reel was filmed. In the video, you can hear the sound that the drone makes. This would be beneficial for the officers who typically staff the towers. Please feel free to informally share it for educational purposes. ajc/news/news/local/4-arrested-trying-smuggle-contraband-jail-using-re/nb6Q5/
