A word from the Lord to his children today… Mighty people of God, we have got to stop making excuses to allow compromise in our lives. Even down to the “smallest” compromise. The more excuses you make to do the questionable things, the more sin you allow to overshadow the Truth (Jesus). What is compromise anyway? I say anything that is unnecessary in your life that can cause confusion, misdirection, and allow sin to swell up. Compromise also opens up question about your true desire to follow Christ wholeheartedly. This only leads to a life of confusion and a lack of anointing and opportunities from God. Will you think on this... Imagine you just purchased your dream home. Imagine the most amazing sight you could have ever dreamed of. There is no turning back, you have already purchased the home. Once you get inside the home, you begin to discover small cracks in the widows. No problem they can be repaired? Leaks in the roof. No problem you can call a roofer? Rips in the carpet. You can patch it up if you have too? Broken appliances. You can buy new ones? At a glance the floor looks uneven. Oh wait, now you go outside and now find major breaks in the foundation of the home. A major problem actually! This dream home wasn’t what it appeared to be after all? Too much compromise in our lives leads to a vessel with many issues. Eventually the foundation of that vessel will break and fall to the ground. 1 Peter 2:5 (ESV), “5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:16 (ESV), “16 Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants[a] of God.”
