A year today I lost my wife and the best friend a man could ever - TopicsExpress

A year today I lost my wife and the best friend a man could ever hope for. She was extremely beautiful inside and outside, very witty, highly intelligent, humble, godly, unpretentious, very loving, faithful, focused and always immense fun to be with. She was a wonderful wife, a devoted mother and grandmother. Her love and devotion to God as expressed through her prayer life was tremendously challenging and contagious. Nadaline was many things to me. She was my lover, my resource manager, my counselor, my ministry partner, my prayer partner as well as my prayer covering. Ours was truly a union ordained by God Almighty. She had a relationship with God that I know I was personally envious of. I don’t know of others who spent more time studying the Bible, praying for others or just simply spending time in God’s presence. Nadaline had a unique and special relationship with each of our children. She maintained the delicate balance between being their good friend and being their parent. It is amazing that she has been gone for a year now. Even though she is in heaven, I still see her in the things of beauty that God has created. Her signature smile is etched in my mind and her infectious laughter rings in my ears. I am a better person today because God allowed me to share many precious years with an incredible human being that helped shape me into the man that I am today. The children and I will always hold her in our hearts today, and every time we remember her. We love you Nadaline Mahala Osman and we miss you very much. Your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure. I remember singing this stanza from the hymn IMMORTAL LOVE ONCE MORTAL FORM ASSUMIMG during our wedding ceremony. It took on a new significance and meaning to me now than then. “And when the day shall dawn that death must part them One standing lonely watches life’s ebbing tide Grant faith and patience, till the waiting’s over Death reunites them, on the other side” The effect of Nadaline’s life and legacy is summed up in this Cherokee saying; “when you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice”. Sleep well my darling, sleep peacefully in the bosom of your Lord and Master. We will see you on that glorious resurrection morning!!
