A young man born in Windsor, who moved to the Detroit area with his family when he was young, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, December 15th, 1958 ... Jack Scott ... Goodbye Baby. The song, written by Scott was his fifth entry to the pop charts, and one of his biggest. After its debut today at #81, Goodbye Baby peaked at #8 in its tenth week on the survey, February 22nd, 1959. Eventually, slipping off the charts after four months, on April 12th, 1959.
