A youth stole an ambulance from the Health Sciences Centre in St. Johns on Tuesday night and went on a joy ride — albeit a short one. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said the boy managed to drive from the hospital to nearby Arctic Avenue, which runs parallel to Prince Philip Parkway. A spokesperson with Metrobus said the bus driver noticed an ambulance with its lights flashing outside Memorial Universitys student centre and stopped the bus.
