ABA Jacksonville Giants owner Ron Sholes was recently challenged by Division rival South Florida Gold and its CEO Michale Watson to take the ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE. The challenge raises money for research and awareness for former Boston College Baseball Player Pete Frates and others suffering from ALS. Afterwards, Sholes said, Nothing like taking a bucket of ice water for a worthy cause! Sholes also commented that he will encourage others to take the challenge and that the Giants and the law firm, Ron Sholes, P.A., will be making a contribution to help researchers find a cure. The Giants host the South Florida Gold - ABA in the Season 5 Home Opener on Saturday, Dec 6th at 7pm at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in what will be a Final Four rematch. The Gold was the only team to defeat the Giants during the regular season last year.
