ABBEY (formerly Pearl) and BELLA (formerly Merle) were originally saved by Edgars Mission who then contacted BAWCS to see if we had room to take them in. In care for 3 weeks now, they are growing fast with regular bottle feeds and now starting to nibble on calf pellets and hay. Bella (black face) was always the smaller of the two but she is almost the same height now. These calves will live long and happy lives now however they are the exception to the rule. If you choose to go deliciously dairy free, even just for Christmas, you will be helping to save bobby calves just like Abbey and Bella because you wont be supporting the dairy industry which considers these calves to be wastage.
