ABCs of Thanksgiving. I am thankful for the variety of life! I am thankful for the unique way my kids came to me---that is so different from many other families. Although Eric and I didnt help create these lovely souls, God hand picked them for our family...right down to their perfect names! And I love Gods sense of humor in the way He sent me my amazing husband (we both SWORE we were NEVER going to get married again---him because he had loved so much, me because I was never going through that kind of pain/betrayal again---Ha!) God sure did have different plans. I love that God created so many different people groups----a variety of different eye colors, different skin colors, slight variances in our features that are so so beautiful. When I was a little girl, even then I knew I wanted to adopt. Even before Angelina Jolie made it cool, I used to say that I wanted a rainbow family (I was little---and didnt understand all the complexities and political correctness of a biracial family---) but even as a young girl, I valued and appreciated the beauty in our differences. Thank you God that you have created us with such uniqueness and variety. Variety really is the spice of life!
