ABNORMALTY IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES: AS LAUTECH SET TO USE A MONTH FOR A SEMESTER LADOKITES: CONGRESS! CONGRESS!! CONGRESS!!! CONCERNING SECOND SEMESTER EXAM TAKING PLACE BETWEEN JANUARY 28TH, TO FEBRUARY 10th OR NOT. Majority decisions tend to be made without engaging the systemic thought and critical thinking skill of the individuals in the group. Given the force of the group’s normative power to shape the opinions of the followers who conform without thinking things through, they are often taken at face value. The persistence minority force the other to process the relevant information more mindfully. Research shows that the decisions of a group as a whole are more thoughtful and creative when there is minority dissent than when it is absent. These as to do with the on going RUMOURS concerning the rearrangement of school calendar, as stated that, the second semester examination will take place within January 28th to February 10th. Which simply mean a semester will be complete within a month. The school management came up with excuses like for the uncertainly as to what could happen after February’s General election of Nigeria and also to stabilize our already disorganized school calendar. Dear Ladokites, you will agree with me that will are the largest UNION with the largest stakeholder as far as this university is concern, in lieu of this if the school management will make any decision that will affect the member of our great UNION they need to put us into consideration. But I want all Ladokites to contribute their own OPINION on this issue NOW before the Students Union Government will take her step by Monday to reject or accept the decision. Because to me that decision has two major disadvantage and only one major advantage to the students, ADVANTAGE 1)It can stabilize our already disorganized school calendar or make our programme faster. DISADVANTAGE 1)It will highly affect the less privilege individual who will be force to pay their remaining part payment school fees before January 28th. 2)It will affect our lay down syllabus especially for the 100Level students because we have a limited time for lectures in a day (maximum of 11 hours). Dear Ladokites, leave your own OPINION, GRIEVANCES and ADVICE because collective hands rescue mission and this is a crossroad decision that require wisdom. Note: all your opinion and grievances will be submitted to the executives and the school management, in fact they are all reading it as u are typing. Your welfarism, yearning and aspirations are ALUTA ROCKET priority. Thanks, God bless u God bless LAUTECH SUG. God bless Nigeria BETTER LAUTECH IS ACHIEVABLE
