ABOUT CLAIM NIGERIA: As the age gradually draws to a close, every true disciple of Christ must become passionately involved in the primary task of reaching the world with the Gospel of love, grace and truth, as evident in the finished work of Christ’s redemption, justification and freedom from the penalty of sin. Jesus Christ remains the best advocate of all ages, and has equally engaged the services of all evangelism-driven Christian advocates to be retained in the task of preaching the Good News of His salvation. Our motto is “… supreme retainer for justice, truth, love and conscience.” CHRIST LEGAL AID MISSION NIGERIA-CLAIM NIGERIA is a non-denominational and a None Profit Christian Organization, engaged in the task of proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through the provision of free legal assistance and representation to indigent and oppressed persons in the society. The overall purpose of the initiative is to employ the instrumentality of the Law to provide legal empowerment, enlightenment and social welfare, as a way of creating more awareness of God’s manifold grace and love to all people. THE VISION: 1. Proclaiming Christ’s perfect law of liberty to all and sundry, through the provision of legal enlightenment and empowerment programmes/projects, especially to the poor and destitute. 2. Exploring legal means and resources to promote sound biblical teachings for practical and exemplary Christian living in society. 3. Creating an atmosphere of love, unity and peaceful coexistence among Christians and church leaders. 4. Extending Christian hands of fellowship, charity and help to the needy and poor in society. 5. Providing succour to victimized persons, especially those in crisis. 6. Creating a platform for good leadership influence and developing capacity for transformed leadership in society. 6. Promoting research material and data for human capacity development and skills acquisition. THE MISSIONS: In pursuance of our vision we are determined to accomplish the following missions and projects: 1. To establish a growing fellowship of visionary membership and partnership, through the platform of the Legal Aid Network. 2. Build a state-of- the-art multi-purpose administrative headquarters known as the ‘CHRIST LEGAL AID MISSION CENTRE’ or ‘HOUSE OF JUSTICE’. 3. Constitute a team of Christian Legal Experts and non-experts to execute the vision of CLAIM NIGERIA from time to time. 4. Set up a Christian Publication and Print-Editorial Unit under CLAIM. 5. Facilitate the work of evangelism through our prison fellowships, rural welfare and legal aid services. 6. Circulating free Christian literatures and Bibles to assist new believers develop deep and intimate relationship with Christ. 7. Use the platform of legal enlightenment seminars, law clinics and workshops to pass across biblical truth and teachings in a bid to draw individuals closer to Christ. 8. Run a Christian Mediation and Reconciliation Center (CMRC) to enhance peaceful co-existence and amicable resolution of family and communal disputes. DEPARTMENTS/UNITS IN CLAIM NIGERIA: 1. Although, the mission is a legal related assignment, but it engages a spectrum of persons who are experts and professionals in other fields of human endeavour. The Multi-level Membership Generation Project (M. M. G. P.) is highly instrumental in the membership drive. The primary aim of this membership initiative is to encourage Sound Christian discipleship work and to promote sound biblical teachings in small discipleship groups.
