CHAPTER 1 It was on the 22nd March 2013 our birthday, we were turning sixteen and our grandmother baked us a nice little cake, she tried her best to make her grand children happy, we sang a birthday song then ate a nice lunch that grandma made of course. At 15:00 my brother and I went to uncle toms place to see what he could offer us, he made us clean the whole tarven including the toilets, the people who went there are so disgusting. I was so tired when it was time to go home, uncle tom paid us 20rands each, what a rip-off we deserved more than that but with the situation we were in there was nothing we could do but just accept everything that came our way. When we got home I went straight to bed. The following day was Monday,a school day. I walked with my friend mbali. Mbali: buhle what is wrong? You are never quiet unless something is bothering you Me: oh, no it is nothing. I am just not feeling well, I am tired Mbali: oh ok We got to school and attended our class, unfortunately during break mbali had to go finish an assignment so I was alone.
