ABOUT MATS Has it been all winter with out a trip to the groomer for your pet? If so, please be reminded, that if the pet has not been brushed from the skin out or combed out on a regular basis, it could be matted. - Saying, oh that is OK, just shave it, is not that easy. Mats are difficult to remove, dull blades and are hard on the pet. Especially on a pet that is not accustomed to the grooming process. The risk of injury goes up. Shaved of pelts on ears can cause head shaking, and swelling, and blood. Fleas or hot spots, or moles, can be hiding under those mats. My fees are for pets in good condition, not for shave downs, and the cost will be considerably be more, starting at 10.00 and up depending on lenght of time, and behavior of the pet. I need to know, for they can take up to two grooming slots, and I may have to turn your pet away, if I cannot keep on schedule for the other clients, if the pet presents w/severe matting without my prior knowledge. I do not specialize in shave downs of pet fur. If you cant comb it out, the groomer cannot comb it out.
