ABUJA REPORTS Electricity supply to some parts of Abuja city centre has been disrupted following an explosion Tuesday evening at a transmission sub-station in Gudu District. The explosion which led to a fire incident razed down a section of the Apo Power Sub-station of the Transmission Company of Nigeria. Though the AIT crew was not allowed access into the sub-station where firemen were battling the inferno, our team gathered that thunder and lightening were the cause of the incident.Residents of Gudu, parts of Garki and Asokoro Districts which the sub-station services will be without power supply until repairs are undertaken# Durumi III community in Abuja Municipal area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory has again been hit by flood. This time, the flood killed a middle-aged man, Cyprian Michael. The disaster is coming almost one month after the last flood that ravaged the area claimed two lives# Long queues have started appearing at fuel stations in Abuja, the nations following concerns of a looming fuel scarcity. Motorists who spoke with AIT say they are not ready to take chances as there are speculations that petroleum workers may embark on strike.
