AC/DC: Health Rumors Resurface, Bands Future in Doubt Australias Telegraph has a story today raising the possibility that Malcolm Youngs health may spell the end of AC/DC. With no comment from the band itself, the article reports concerns that the 40th anniversary tour may never happen. Australian journalist Peter Ford is quoted as saying, “We may never hear them perform or record ever again” and there is some quite sad detail about it all that I will not be reporting on, but the band/management may choose to reveal this. Adding fuel to the fire, an Australian blog revealed today that the rhythm guitarist, who is Angus Youngs older brother, suffered a stroke last month. The claim is that this ends the bands career and that an official statement will be released tomorrow. Earlier this year, AC/DC singer Brian Johnson told a radio interviewer that one of his bandmates had been pretty ill, but never publicly identified which one. Johnson also suggested that the bands next tour might be his last, as he is considering retirement.
