ACCEPTING GODS WILL Romans 12, verse 2, states…Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will. I must have this, I must have that,. Have you asked if that is Gods perfect will for you? Anything out of Gods will for you is catastrophe. David happens to be a man I love very much, the reason is that, he always seeks Gods face before doing anything, even when faced with wars. Remember the case of where he fell after impregnanting Uraiahs wife and the man of God came and warn him, he about THE EVIL HE COMMITED, HAND THAT THE BABY WOULD DIE, HE WENTINTO A TERRIBLE STATE N PRAYINGFOR THE Lord to avert the death, but when the baby finally died, he went ,had his bath and hate. He never delayed accepting Gods will. Joseph ,too was a man who accepted Gods will, he never liked being sold by his brothers, he never liked the betrayal , but he saw Gods hand in it and just prayed for his perfect will to be done. Ahab and Jezebel did not accept Gods will and paid dearly for it. Haman. allowed his hatred for Moedecai to get the better part of him, he thought he could fight the will of God and paid with his life. ,,Read Esther..1 to the end. Pharaoh the king of Egypt refused Gods will of allowing the children of Isreal to go and he paid with his life and that of his soldiers Whoever resists Gods will is heading for disaster, that indeed is the plain truth. Herod ,and Nebuc contested Gods will and paid dearly for it.. Let us take the case of a man about to go into matrimony, after he got married and signed for better, for worse, the married man or woman is now not accepting the good as well as the bad qualities of the partner, thereby turning himself or herself into prisoner in marriage instead of the reverse. No one is perfect, and as such let us learn to accept Gods will. Accepting Gods will draws favour to us in times of need. We are divinely connected. Luke9, 57-62….. It takes resolution to pay price. You must decide firmly. A price goes for truth. Except you are a circumstantial Christian, you have to strive by Gods grace to do what is right.1 Peter, 5-7…..We have to have the integrity test., and it is trial by fire. Also Acts 9 Victorious living is what you have when you surrender to Gods will. At the end of his life, Jesus was able to pray ..I have glorified you on earth ,I have finished the work which you have given me to do. He did not try to compete with John, or any other prophet. He knew what success was for him. Your lifes highest calling will always create the highest level of joy within you. Acknowledge God and he will direct you to his perfect will for you. Learn to be led by the spirit. .Be commited.. That means having spirit controlled responses and making spirit led decisions. Actually speaking, every man has a gift and if you are using your gift to glorify God ,then you are doing what he has willed you to do. Hearing from God is very important in knowing his will, so listen attentively to what he has to tell you. Whatever fears you have, face them in prayer. Our Lord Jesus faced his ultimate fear with sincere prayer and he overcame and so will it be for us if we do. As a teenager, I seriously desired to be a music star .I would have gone very deep into the world.. I nursed that ambition for long but thanks to God I ended as a woman of God. Why must a man contest the will of God? We contest Gods will out of sheer ignorance, also from satanic manipulations and it has grave consequences.…and. .the consequences of contesting the will of God ,are unfulfilled dreams, untimely .death, enemies attack 1 Sam.2, verses 27-36 Consequences of deliberate sinning is fearful expectation of judgment. It is indeed a fearful thing to fall into Gods anger. .Read Hebrews 6, verse 7 to the end….soil, thorns and blessing. Final result…eternal condemnation. The way out…repentance, followed by total obedience. Grace goes without sin .We need repentance through Christ Jesus .Let us confess him as our Lord and saviour, surrender ourselves ,and it will be well with us.
