ACHIEVING FREEDOM DEMANDS HARD CHOICES AND CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES. Michael Kal-El in a comment wondered if my self-help plan is telling Black consumers to buy where they are directed, thus depriving them of the freedom of choice. I want to apologize for not being clear. I have never advocated buying from Blacks alone for practical reasons and none deserves blind obedience. Freedom to make our own decisions should never be tampered with; it is (next to life itself) our most precious liberty. My only goal is to help increase the incomes of as many people as possible and encourage the benefactors of that generosity to help others learn and earn. However, the ultimate arbiter of what you do with the money you earn is you. And I respect your decision, whether you spend it all with Blacks or none of it with Blacks. But there are consequences that come with your decision, especially if you live in a typical Black community where 95% of the income is spent with everyone but Black people. The non-Blacks that Blacks are making rich spend 80% or more of their money with non-Blacks also. Therefore, Black communities are living on a meager 5% of their income. With those numbers and that predicament, Black communities will never be competitive economically, despite another round of laws declaring their equality. And without a viable economy that is based on a self-interest redistribution of a larger percentage of their annual income of over one trillion dollars (equivalent to the GDP of the 11th richest nation in the world) to one another, these Black communities will not be educated enough to enter a skilled workforce, they will be overrun by dysfunctional families and children without families, they will direct their frustrations and hostilities to other Blacks (because they are the nearest target) in violent genocide, they will earn less money and they will have more chronic diseases -- and for these reasons, they will be despised and marginalized by the rest of the nation. All of this will change when Blacks spend as much time on self-empowerment as they do on politics and protest. Nature demands balance in all things. Your Freedom. Your Choice.
