ACTS 11:1-4 AND THE APOSTLES AND BRETHREN THAT WERE IN JUDAEA HEARD THAT THE GENTILES HAD ALSO RECEIVED THE WORD OF GOD. 2 AND WHEN PETER WAS COME UP TO JERUSALEM, THEY THAT WERE OF THE CIRCUMCISION CONTENDED WITH HIM. 3 SAYING, THOU WENTEST IN TO MEN UNCIRCUMCISED, AND DIDST EAT WITH THEM. 4 BUT PETER REHEARSED THE MATTER FROM THE BEGINNING, AND EXPOUNDED IT BY ORDER UNTO THEM SAYING..... PETER received a vision from GOD concerning the GENTILES and the HOLY SPIRIT. evidence that this vision was truly from GOD, was the fact the GENTILES received the HOLY SPIRIT. but what we are seeing here is the JEWS being a little petty and jealous. you have to understand, no people from ever received the WORD of GOD except the JEWISH/HEBREW people. and they always considered the GENTILES to be barbarians or unclean men beast. BUT GOD! GOD is no respecter of men. he that has a heart to serve and worship GOD, is excepted. there is no division. and thats what the HEBREWS/JEWS had a problem with. which brings a TRUTH to the scripture, Romans 9:25 King James Version (KJV) 25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. up until CHRIST, there was no HOPE for the other nations outside ISREAL. ON A SIDE NOTE: take a look at the above entitled verses again. if you look closely, PETER when confronted by the JEWS, prepared a story? why do we feel the need when GOD tells us something, to have to explain it to man, and get mans approval? Galatians 1:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. GOD should always be our point of reference. our divining rod. our compass. our gps! in my past, all men ever did was make me second guess what GOD said to me. in the old testament, there was a prophet who was killed by a lion for second guessing , listening to a mans lie, and disobeying GOD. GOD told him, do not go back the way you came, do not eat with any of the people. but a man lied to him and said GOD told me you can eat with me. so the prophet went in and ate. that was his last meal, because GOD sent a lion to kill him for disobedience. eve let the serpeant make her second guess GOD. CLOSING: if you know GOD said something? say AMEN! and follow orders. all the provision needed will either be in you, or added to you. the strength, the courage, the intelligence.. etc. all GOD wants are willing participants. and while on mission? keep your world blinders on. because the world will try to change your mind. they will try to change GODS WORD. they will try and say you arent enough. REBUKE THAT DEVIL! and move FORWARRRRD! in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST!
