ADAMAWA SALARY SLASH Adamawa State Government is reported to have dealt with a revenue shortfall by applying deductions across the board from salaries of all civil servants and teachers are the most hard hit. The deduxtions were without notice and many civil servants who turned up in banks literally burst into tears on checking their balances. One inboxed me thus:- There is problem today in Adamawa state. All state civil servants loose a minimum of 7% of today salaries. Some junior staff lost as much as 7000 from the meager among they take home. Some staff lost as much as 40,000 from their while teachers who were manipulated to collect laptops are in trouble because hunger is their portion. Most hard hit will bebthe civil servants. Many states have suffered allocated revenue constraints but made do with savings from consolidation funds. Memvers of the State Legislature have been too busy distancing themselves from Governor Nyako and close ranks with Abuja to notice.
