ADC Samba visits flood affected areas SAMBA, AUGUST 03: In order to monitor the situation arising out of intense rains, ADC Samba, RK Shavan today visited flood hit areas viz Barian, Sarthia and Madoon. In Barian, about 24 families have been temporary shifted to Dwarkapuri Complex and two families of village Thalote to Panchayat ghar Amli. In Dwarkapuri, the Official of Revenue and CAPD department have been asked to facilitate the temporary establishment for relocated families. The ADC was accompanied by the BRO officers and Naib Tehsildar Rajpura where large number of people comprising Sarpanch and Panches apprised the officers about the problems being faced by them due to washing away of temporary causeway. It was also bought to the notice of ADC that about 20-30 villages are cut off due to flooded nullahs and the school childrens are facing great problem to reach Rajpura and they are not able to attend the school regularly. He patiently heard the problems of villagers and ensured that District Administration will solve their problems at an earliest. ADC, Samba directed the BRO authorities to ensure repair of temporary crossing within three days so that the people of these areas do not face further inconveniences.
