ADOPTABLE PET: Meet Finnigan! Finnigan is a 2 year old, neutered male, black, Labrador Retriever mix. What a big, goofy, lovable guy! Finnigan has plenty of energy and needs an active home. With daily exercise, Finnigan settles easily and will make a great, loyal buddy. He is reportedly good with children, cats and other dogs. We’ve found Finnigan to be a bit overwhelming to some dogs on initial greeting, so an introduction with other dogs in the family at the adoption center is recommended. Finnigan originally arrived at the shelter as a stray in May; he was adopted for two weeks, but returned for having accidents in the house. We highly recommend utilizing crate training with Finnigan until he’s completely familiar with your routine; he is comfortable in his crate and seems to enjoy resting there. Finnigan bonds very quickly and is eager to commit himself to a new person. He knows how to sit on command and he is highly motivated by treats. Please consider an obedience class to get you and Finnigan off to a great start! A typical Lab, Finnigan is a BIG FAN of fetching tennis balls (and COOKIES!), but he doesn’t always give it up the ball easily.
