ADOPTED!! 3 years and 2 days after he was surrendered to Animal Alliance of New Jersey, Tig went to his forever home in Philadelphia! Tig is FIV+ and many people do not understand that FIV+ status in a cat is not a death sentence. Quite the contrary in fact as many FIV+ cats live out full lifespans. Tigs new owner took meticulous care of her previous cat, who sadly recently passed away. Thankfully she decided to help another FIV+ cat. Due to a referral from an Animal Alliance supporter, she ended up at our adoption center today to meet Tig and take him home! We lovingly cared for Tig for 3 years, where he shared a spacious, light filled room with several other FIV+ cats. Estimated cost of care for Tig for 3 years = $2,100, which includes food and medical care. Seeing Tig walk out the door after waiting 1,097 days for a home = PRICELESS!!!!!!
