ADOPTED! Tippie (the black Yorkie mix) came from the Toms River puppy mill raid this Summer. She resided in a cage most of her life in the pictured dump of a fake business where animals were bred in squalor and puppies were sold. heres a link to the story about this case: patch/new-jersey/tomsriver/owner-picture-perfect-pets-toms-river-charged-animal-cruelty when she first arrived at Animal Alliance of New Jersey, she would spin in circles all day and run from human touch because she was so unsocialized and fearful and stressed from round the clock cage living. Over time, we gained her trust and by immersing her in lots of playtime with other normal dogs, she started to behave like a dog, with a wagging tail, and an interest in human affection. She headed home to Philadelphia with very kind people who understand that she is going to be a bit of a project at first before she becomes a great pet. Big sis Nala, is going to show her how to play and be a great dog! Heres to kind and compassionate people who open their homes and hearts every day to pets in need!!! they are the antidote to all the misery and sadness we see in our work.
