ADORABLE ALERT! The Yorkie puppies are now 11 days old and their eyes and ears are due to open in the next couple of days. Huntington, the little boy who wasnt doing so well a few days ago, is now eating and moving just as much as his sisters! Now that hes feeling better Ive reunited him with his sisters. Hes still on meds for a minor case of colitis (inflammation of the colon) and Im still giving him fluids daily, but weaning him off of them as hes doing so well and doesnt seem to be dehydrated anymore. Feeding time starts with a lot of squeaking and grunting out of hunger and excitement, eventually turns into acting a little tipsy (literally) as they kind of rock back and forth trying to get that perfect angle as well as a little mowing when they try to get closer to mom and end up pushing the make up sponge across the towel we feed them on and ends with full bellies and falling asleep. Its always a riot because they arent fully in control of their movements yet. Then when were done the cycle starts all over again after a long nap. I cant wait until these little guys open their eyes and start to be a little more functional so the playing and puppy breath can start, but this age is also quite precious though the sleepless nights and not being able to leave the house for more than a couple of hours at a time are a bit exhausting. Because these pups are just 11 days old they wont be available for adoption until September/October so please dont ask how to adopt them as they wont be ready for a long time. Once theyre old enough, have had their shots and have been fixed we will be accepting applications. Until then just sit back and enjoy the adorable updates over the next few months. - Aileen
