ADVENT DAY 3 Patience or tolerance is a wonderful attitude to build and very helpful in every aspect of life. Patience is all about waiting, simply waiting. Unfortunately, despite our good conduct and mannerisms, we always expect things to happen quickly, or grab at the first option or solution that comes our way. But if we wait patiently and do our best without expecting anything in particular, we are prepared for whatever comes our way. There is no chance for disappointment. Be patient. This great virtue makes one flexible and open, and with such an attitude we are always ready to respond to any situation with confidence and joy. Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains (James 5:7). Be patient at home with those who you love dearly, for you not necessarily see the fruit now, but many years ahead. Be patient at work understanding that everyone is unique and has their own pace and style of working. Be patient with the world around you, for the greater rewards await those who are tolerant and wait in hope…
