ADVICE NEEDED for Special Mom #psnm00430 ADVICE NEEDED PLEASE!!! What do you do when your a school district employee working with Special Needs Children and A parent of 1 of your student gives the employee guardianship of their child over the summer because she can no longer care for the child due to behavior and fear for other siblings. The parent voices the child does not like her home and thats what triggers the child, The parent wanted to give up her child to the system and have placed on 5150 hold which had been previously done before but this time permanently feeling that was her only alternative.The employee wants to open up their home to keep from losing the child. For the child has made such extreme progress In school. Which is highly noted by the principal. So now the employee and Parent along with signed guardianship papers go to the school to explain what has happen and why. Principal listens talks with parent and gets full complete understanding. Principal says Ill get back to you. Few hrs later principal calls employee and says students has to be removed from employee home or employee can lose their job and student has to placed into the system. What do u do? A childs life is at stake!!! I thought the school district was suppose to do whats in the best interest of the child!!?? SMHH!! 911
