ADW: And you thought a jumping jack was a stupid exercise. A correct jumping jack is a plyometric activity that changes the stretch-shorten cycle of the feet, the calves, the lower legs, increases heart rate and body temperature and increases the mobility of the hip and shoulder joints while lubricating them and preparing them for sport. So, the focus is on how their feet hit the ground, the way their hands hit their sides, the height of the hands as they come up over their head, how far their legs are apart, and their breathing.
