AEA Press Release: No agreement was reached in the bargaining meeting last night between the Altamont Education Association (AEA) and the Altamont Board of Education. AEA President Mike Delaney stated that the AEA provided a very acceptable proposal that was rejected by the Board. "Our proposal tried to re-establish fairness," continued Delaney. The Board provided no counter offer. The strike date has been set for Thursday, September 26. There is another negotiations meeting set for Wednesday at 5:30. The public is urged to attend this meeting to show support for a settlement.
