AFCON QUALIFIERS 2015 KICKED OFF YESTERDAY The 2015 Africa Cup of Nationsis scheduled to be the 30th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, (AFCON). For the second time, the tournament is scheduled to be hosted by Morocco, who previously hosted it in 1988. Qualification for the tournament will be made up of three stages, * two preliminary rounds and a final group stage. The * 21 best-ranked teams were given a bye to the group stage, * while the next 26 teams were our ZIMBABWE WARRIORS are included, will begin play in the second preliminary round, * four lowest ranked teams will start at the first round. 1. Mauritius(0.5 pts) 2. Eritrea(0 pts) 3. Mauritania(0 pts) 4. South Sudan(0 pts) The two preliminary rounds will be a series of playoffs, with the winners advancing. Already South Sudan has qualified courtesy of Eritrea pulling out and will join Zimbabwe and twenty five other national teams draw. Mauritania or Mauritius will make it 28teams that will fight it out in the last preliminary round.
