AFRICA 101: Five months ago on this day I started this journey and as Im flying back to my nest in a few days,I cant help but be HUMBLED & grateful for everything Ive seen & experienced here(11 countries and about 10K photos later).Your infectious smiles are sealed forever!! The next time I complain how hard my life is, Ill remember the 8 year old who walks 3 kms in Ruwenzori every morning to fetch water before she goes to school,or the kids at the orphanage in Khayalisha who had no HIV meds for a week or even the teenage kid in Jinja,Uganda who cant be who he is,because of the Anti-GAY law. I can go on and on...lol Simply because I was born in a different GENETIC pool with resources,I am where and who I am today. Without a proper foundation,how can one expect a STRONG building?? Africa- YOU are no longer a FORGOTTEN continent,but you are THE continent with ABUNDANT resources,only if YOU dont let YOUR corrupt politicians, the CHINESE & the INDIANS exploit YOU. Your politicians are your answers and your FAILURES(in this case). Ive had a great pleasure of meeting hundreds of humanitarians whove inspired me in ways I cant begin to express. You give me more reason to live and be grateful for everything I have. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!! #africalessons #loveafrica #lifechanging
