AFRICA DEFINE YOURSELF: AFRICANS IN AFRICAN AND IN DIASPORAS, DAY BY DAY -BY-DAY AFRICANS GLOBALLY ARE KILLED, EXPLOITED AND ABUSED WHILST AFRICAN CHILDREN ARE ABDUCTED BECAUSE AFRICA IS A FATHERLESS NATION. By Senzo Scholar Credit: Rendy Tshivhula It is befitting to start with critical examination of the role of a father in any family. Most of all the father is someone who is the head of the house and the family at large. The role of a father 1. The father is expected to protect, provide safe and sound homely environment for the children and the entire family. 2. The father is expected to protect and defend his children from any external exploitation. 3. The father is also expected to give strategic leadership direction, head family issues and fan for the socio-economic sustenance and well-being of his family It goes without saying, that the role of a father extend far beyond the above-mentioned. This equally applies to the head of any state, he is called the first citizen of the land and is regarded as the father figure. If one looks at Russia for an example, the Russian President Putin is portraying an excellent father figure and successfully discharge the roles stated above as a father of the Russian nation. President Putin, has risked his life with US and its allies, in defence of his Russian people. And as such the US cannot take advantage of Russian resources and her people. This is the case because President Putin is willing to die in protection of his people, and also give a very clear strategic direction in defence of Russians. Russia is thus safe from external exploitation from and by external imperial forces. Absence of a father-figure and negative impact on African In most cases a house without a father figure is vulnerable to many external social-ills such as - gross disrespect, exploitation and societal abuse. Like this young African lion by name of Rendy Tshivula, is praying the almighty God to please bring back our father. It is sad that Africa is becoming fatherless day-by-day, because the heads of African states are failing to protect African people from external exploitation by imperialist and colonialists nations. Our revolutionary fathers who are late viz. Halie Sellasie, Jomo Kenyeta, Marcus Garvey, Malcom X, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Muammar Gaddafi, Chris Hani, Nelson Mandela et al, have fought against the exploitation, dominance, abuse and colonization and imperialization by imperial and colonial nations. Now that they are gone, Africa has fallen a playing ground for colonial forces and agents to do as they please in exploiting, abusing and destroying Africa and her people socio-economically and socio-politically. African children are being abducted and taken away from their families, more pseudo terror attacks and colonial Scramble for African resources is taking more place than ever before. All of this is happening because African nations and Africans in Diasporas have no fathers capable and willing to fight in defence of exploitation, abusing and killing of African nations and children. The current African leaders believe in diplomatic settlement of colonial and imperial scramble for Africas resources, pseudo terror attacks, killing and raping of African children and nations. During the times of Halie Sellasie, Jomo Kenyeta, Marcus Garvey, Malcom X, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara, Muammar Gaddafi, Chris Hani, Nelson Mandela et al, Africa was not exploited, abused and destroyed easily like nowadays. Indeed Rendy Tshivhula is point on when he decries BRING BACK our fathers, because if Africa had presidents who are excelling in playing protective national father figure role like President Putin of Russia, the Nigerian girls would not have been abducted and taken away from their parents. I fully agree with Rendy Tshivula in his prayer which provides- Im still uncertain as to whether the girls that were kidnapped were found or not, but in no way is this campaign created to mock/tease or even make fun of the previous one... Infact it compliments it. This thing of fathers being absent is becoming more of a norm/culture and lifestyle rather than an ordinary social issue.. A lot of Fathers today dont even know the meaning of what it truly means to be a Father. Sadly the effects of absent of fathers do not just affect the child individually but rather society at large....*think about it*. Some fathers who arent even absent are even worse than those that are, I dont have to mention the lack of responsibility, abuse of all sorts whereby women and children are violated in ways that are indescribable... On a positive note, I ultimately applaud all the Fathers that are playing a key role in being an excellent father not just to their biological children but also to other kids that do not have parents. More than anything I would like to ask God to please be with those Fathers that have still not acknowledged their roles in society, Lord BRING BACK OUR FATHERS... Because things are really getting out of hand. The pink shorts are in collaboration with the Varsity Cup pink shorts campaign (Keeping the agro on the field)*the fight against the abuse of women and children*.. I Salute all the Mothers that have played both roles of being Mommy and Daddy, its not an easy job, only Great characters can survive great hardships so thank you for being who you are to us and raising us to be what we should become. Fathers Come BACK!!!!! God please, asseblief tog..... #BRINGBACKOURFATHERS! Indeed Africa needs presidents who are willing to die in protection and defence of thier nation, only then African presidents will be fitting to be called fathers of the nations... Aluta Continua!!!
