AFRICA!IGNITE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Craft sales person, WOWZULU Marketplace, Khula Village in Dukuduku area REF: AI/CSP001 Africa!Ignite seeks to employ a craft sales person for the WOWZULU Marketplace at Khula Village. This will be a two year contract position, starting in January 2015 and linked to the Africa!Ignite’s Jobs Fund funding. REQUIREMENTS: • The successful candidate will be a resident of the Dukuduku area, and should have experience of working in a retail sales position. • Minimum of a matric certificate is a prerequisite. • Previous experience of selling craft products and an understanding of the craft, arts and culture of the area will be added advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sell craft products of Dukuduku area and other products to visitors to the WOWZULU Marketplace • Assist visitors and provide knowledgeable information about craft • Manage cash sales and receipting for goods as per training received • Keep the shop looking clean, tidy, well stocked and welcoming at all times • Manage stock as per training received • Liaise with local crafters regarding stock and any other relevant matters SPECIFICS OF THE CONTRACT: • This will be a two-year full-time contract linked to Africa!Ignite’s Jobs Fund funding. • The salary package will be structured into a basic component of R2500.00 plus an incentives portion based on sales.
