AFSA National Coordinator Nick Rose sharing stories at Local Organics in Brunswick on Friday night, of inspiring people doing wonderful work in urban agriculture and local food, in Australia and round the world. A great night with fantastic food and company; and a sense of huge possibility and excitement for the work ahead. Big thank you to Angie, Marcus, Cherie and a host of volunteers for making it such a memorable evening. Two very exciting developments announced on the night. First, the Organic Federation of Australia is partnering with a number of farmers to establish several internships for young people wanting to enter farming. And second, Local Organics will be launching a new retail food high street shop in North Fitzroy, early in 2015. With fair and fairness on so many lips in Australia, #fairfood is only going to grow.
