AFTER TOURING AUSCHWITZ, the KRAKOW GHETTO and OSKAR SCHIENDLERS FACTORY, it made me take stock of my own life thus far. My generation knows not war, pain, death and despair. But what do I owe the next generation? I owe primarily my love for God and love for family. I owe a life of hard work, study and service, to value human life and dignity, to realize I owe my standard if living, freedom and even my life to those who lived fought, sacrificed and died, some famously and some anonymously. Peace can disappear in a moment; we must always live lives of readiness and sobriety.
