AFTERSCHOOL ENROLLMENT FAIR COMING SOON!! As the summer is winding down, planning is currently underway to provide District children with an efficient, safe, affordable, and engaging learning environment. Sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, August 14 through Friday, August 30, 2013. Please note that there will be no enrollment at the schools this year. Afterschool enrollment fair will be held at the Logan School Annex located: 215 G Street, N.E Washington, DC 20002 (at the corner of G street and 2nd Street, N.E). To schedule an appointment, you must visit dcps.dc.gov/DCPS/afterschool Ward 1 schools include Bancroft Elementary School, Bruce-Monroe Elementary, Cleveland Elementary School, Garrison Elementary, H.D Cooke Elementary, Reed Elementary, and Tubman Elementary School. The Afterschool sessions will be led by DCPS teachers along with aides during academic power hour, and will include enrichment activities/ field trips, along with healthy meals. Cost is $10 per day for the first child, and lower rates for additional children. Families may apply for subsidy that provides free or reduced cost programming. To apply, families must provide proof of residency, income, and relationship to the child. Please share with your family, friends, and neighbors.
