***AGELESS DEVOTION*** 5 year old Georgia arrived at the Brooklyn ACC as a “stray”. However, one look at this lady makes that seem a VERY unlikely scenario! Georgia’s coat is simply gorgeous and she is a very healthy weight for a “stray”! She has quickly become a Volunteer and Staff favorite with a kennel card filled with accolades. A Volunteer writes: “As one staff member put it, Georgia looks like a Chow Chow that just had a good shave down. That means you get all the adorableness of a Chow without all of that fur!... Each time I approach Georgia’s cage, she gives a little bark, and then as soon as I rattle her kennel door, she’s all tail wags and wiggles. On each of my interactions with 5-year-old Georgia, I was impressed by how calm she is. Being middle-aged, she’s more interested in mellowing out, than playing in the yard. She seems very housetrained, never having a mess in her kennel and always “going” promptly outside… Speaking with a staff member, she told me that at first, during doggy playgroup, Georgia was a bit hesitant to make friends, mostly distancing herself. Now she engages in sniffing the other dogs and interacts appropriately with them, though she’s not really playful, yet. Georgia is a little peach of a girl, who is patiently waiting to meet your acquaintance at the Brooklyn Care Center!” Georgia is beginning to show signs of stress in her kennel.
