AGSU calls on CM, places demands ITANAGAR, Oct 15: A team of All Galo Students’ Union (AGSU) called on Chief Minister Nabum Tuki at his official Bungalow here today and submitted the reports and findings of AGSUs recent awareness tour with the theme “Run for Brotherhood”. AGSU demanded for declaring Jeko Village of Lohit district as Galo Village, immediate functioning of ‘C’ class Police Station at Banggo Village of Paglam circle under Dambuk Sub-Division of Lower Dibang Valley district, establishment of Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Namlang village of Chowkam under Namsai Sub-Division of Lohit district, immediate posting of teachers and granting of financial aid for infrastructures development including construction of school boundary wall at Government Residential M.E School Banggo. After patient hearing on the demand, the AGSU release claimed, the Chief Minister assured the AGSU to fulfill the demands for functioning of ‘C’ class police Station at Banggo and assured to direct the Home Department for its early functioning. For posting of teachers and granting of financial aid, the chief minister assured to look into the matter seriously. Further, the chief minister suggested AGSU to pursue the matter for declaration of Jeko village under Lohit district with the Deputy Commissioner Lohit for further action. He also assured the AGSU to seriously look into the matter for establishment of Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Namlang village after discus with local MLA of the area. In the meeting, the president of AGSU urged the chief minister for infrastructure development of DPGC Kamki, like maintenance of college approach road, installation of high mast tower at College campus, water supply, installation of separate transformer to ease the problem of electricity, allocation of adequate fund for construction of multipurpose college auditorium and library building etc.
