AIAT is transparent with all donations and solicits for specific projects vs. general operating funds. AIAT is fiscally supported by Art Therapy Without Borders, Inc. In this spirit, Ricky Gray Grass has requested $1,500 to fund a New Year’s eve youth event for the Wakpamni District of Pine Ridge Reservation. This request resulted from an emergency meeting last night following the wake of a 12-year-old boy who committed suicide days after the suicide of a 15-year-old girl. Since then, there have been 3 additional suicide attempts by youth in this community. Ricky Gray Grass (Holy Man), an AIAT partner, is working diligently with community organizers to host similar events throughout Pine Ridge Reservation to keep youth safe during a high risk holiday.
