AIDEN UPDATE: During his party today, Aiden began to have another of his episodes as we call them. We thought all of this was over since his asthma has disappeared and so has his reflux. Apparently the episodes have nothing to do with asthma and reflux since those are no longer an issue. Suffice it to say, the entire crowd was freaked out, they all saw him basically pass out and turn blue. Once he appeared to be better we continued the party and he dove into his cake, although he was not as eager as he would normally be. While we were bathing him and trying to get all the cake off, he became limp, turned blue and glassy eyed again so we wrapped him in the towel and took off for the hospital. He tried to be engaging with the nurses in triage, but by the time we got to the ER bed, he was in the episode again and this time the nurse called in all the docs to come see. When the ER staff have looks of shock and horror on their faces, it sure let you know there is definitely something wrong. He continued in the same episode for approximately 3 hours in the ER and was admitted to the PICU. By the time we made it up to the floor, he was normal Aiden and all of his stats were normal. He was able to take a bottle and go to sleep normally. The doctor in the PICU is super nice and he remembered us from February with the same situation, just not as intense. All of the tests Aiden has had have come back normal. It is all in his file and none of the tests or bloodwork come back with evidence of anything wrong with him. In fact, tonight they took a ton of blood and a urine sample and all levels were normal. His CT scan tonight looked exactly like the one in February. So... he is in PICU tonight and we will see a neurologist tomorrow. There are no more tests to run because all have been run. We need to be able to do an eeg when he is having an episode, but he may not have another one, or he might.... Our family appreciates your continued prayers and peaceful thoughts. Have a great night.
