AIDS United aidsunited.org will be using The Afiya Center to conduct a focus group on PREP Monday July 29th at 1pm and 6pm. PREP is a medication that people who are HIV positive are taking now but it is also available for people who are not HIV positive that may be at a higher risk to decrease that risk. The focus group is to gather information on how important this would be for women...they did a study but it failed for women...there were no US women in the study and not many women even know about so our goal is to possibly get another study to get more conclusive data with or among women...
